In our home, snacks are not just food items, they are part of our daily life moments. Especially during rainy weather or when guests suddenly arrive, we quickly prepare something simple but tasty. Everyone in the family has their own favorite, and we always enjoy eating together with hot tea. These small moments feel very special and create memories that stay with us.
🥟 Samosa – Our First Choice
Samosa is always the first choice in our home. Whenever guests come, we mostly bring samosas from outside. It is simple, crispy, and everyone likes it.
🍳 Pakoda – Rain Time Special

Pakoda is one of our favorite snacks, especially in rainy weather. Homemade pakoras taste the best because they are spicy, crunchy, and fresh.
We mostly make them at home using onions, potatoes, or mixed vegetables, and fry them in mustard oil from our own home. That gives a different healthy taste.
🥔 Aloo Tikki – Street Style at Home
Aloo tikki is also a family favorite. It is crispy, spicy, and we enjoy it with red tomato sauce. Simple but very tasty.
🍞 Bread Pakoda – Homemade Special
Bread pakoda is something special in our home. My wife and mother often prepare it.
They stuff bread with filling, sometimes add sauces or mayonnaise, dip it in batter, and fry it. It becomes very crispy outside and soft inside.
It is perfect with tea, especially during rainy evenings.
🍜 Maggi – Kids Favourite Version
We also make Maggi, but not the normal one.
We prepare it with onion, green chilli, and sometimes vegetables like beans. Kids love it because it tastes like a full meal, not just instant noodles.
🥟 Chaat & Bhalla Variety
We also enjoy chaat items like:
Dahi Bhalla
Papdi Chaat
Aloo Chaat
There are different types, some with spicy water, some with curd, and some with sweet and sour taste.
We are not fully sure of all names, but we enjoy the taste and variety.
One more special thing in our home is how we prepare food. We mostly use homemade mustard oil, which gives a strong and traditional taste. Even simple snacks like pakora or bread pakora become more flavorful because of this. Every family member has different taste preferences, but still we enjoy everything together without any complaint. That is the real beauty of Indian food culture.
🍔 Street Foods We Eat Outside

Sometimes we also enjoy outside food like:
Vada Pav
Momos
Pav Bhaji
Chaat items from local shops
These are simple but very popular Indian street foods.
🍵 Tea Time Moments
In our home, tea is very important.
We mostly drink kadak chai, and sometimes we add ginger or cardamom depending on the weather.
Tea with pakora or samosa during rain feels like a perfect moment.
Street food is also a big part of our lifestyle. Sometimes we go outside and enjoy vada pav, momos, pav bhaji, and different chaat items from local shops. Each place has its own taste and style. But whether it is home food or street food, the joy comes from sharing it with family and enjoying it in a relaxed moment.
⭐ Final Thought
Everyone has different taste and choices, but this is our simple home experience.
These foods are not just recipes — they are part of our childhood, family time, and daily life memories.
We are just sharing what we grew up eating and enjoying at home.
